→ corsi in presenza (4 SWS – 6 crediti)

Welcome to the homepage of the Italian Department at ZESS.

At our Italian language courses, students learn to communicate in both spoken and written Italian at an academic and professional level. Emphasis is placed upon learning the language as a communication tool and is achieved through active role-play of real-life situations. In doing so, students participate in specific projects, utilizing various media tools to aid their presentations.

Our courses range from Levels A1 to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are present in three distinct forms.

→ Standard Courses (4 hrs/week, 6 Credits)
→ Blended-Learning-Courses (4 hrs/week, comprising 2 hrs/week of course attendance and 2 hrs/week of independent learning, 6 Credits)
→ Independent-Learning Courses (4 hrs/week of independent learning, 6 Credits)

In addition to the above courses, various special events are organized outside of the course for students who want to acquaint themselves with Italy and Italian culture and/or keep refresh their language skills. The following events are offered every semester:

→ Caffè Italia: takes place seven times per semester. At Caffè Italia, a different aspect of Italian tradition is introduced (link in the column on the right).
→ Cineforum: takes place thrice per semester. At Cineforum, students enjoy a film that is not only entertaining but also provides insight into Italian life (link in the column on the right).
→ Interested parties are always welcome to visit us on Facebook.
