How can the transition from school into higher education be successful? What measures can the universities take to do the increasing heterogeneity justice an build a solid foundation for the studies and study success? These and further questions on the optimal design of the study orientation phase were subject of an expert discussion at the "Alte Mensa" with approximately 50 participants.

Three presentations showed the newest developments in this field: Besides Liz Thomas, Professor of Higher Education, Edge Hill University, UK, Prof. Dr. Stefan Halverscheid (University of Göttingen) and Prof. Dr. Tobias Raupach (University Medical Centre) presented their work.

The expert discussion took place within the first field of action of Göttingen Campus QPLUS and was supported by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA).
