Anti-Discrimination Counselling for Students
The anti-discrimination counselling service for students can still be reached by e-mail and via the online notification form. You can reach me directly by telephone during the following office hours: Thursday 12-15 h and Friday 11-14 h.
The Anti-discrimination Counselling Office provides support for students at the University of Göttingen who feel that they have been discriminated against, especially on the grounds of (perceived) race, appearance, colour of skin, ethnic or social background, name, language or religion.
The Anti-discrimination Counselling for Students Office creates the safe space necessary to report an experience of discrimination and to talk about concerns. In addition, individuals who witness discriminatory behaviour or learn about an incident via a third party are welcome to report it to the Anti-discrimination Counselling for Students Office. The counsellor will inform you about possible avenues to resolve your issue at the University of Göttingen. Importantly, we will work with you to decide the best course of action for you to take in resolving your issue, and we won't do anything you don’t want us to do. Each enquiry is treated in a confidential manner and can be treated anonymously on request.
Student initiatives and people who are interested in topics of discrimination, eg racism and empowerment, are also welcome to request support at the Anti-discrimination Counselling for Students Office.
